I’ve been meaning to do this a long time coming, not that I’d never written a piece for mummy, but by the second she gets just more amazing, and I keep getting lost for words for they are rare and I can’t buy the expensive ones for they are priceless.
(i) Scarred ‘n’ Sacred!
Nine months +
She took it all
And till now, she’s taking more for me
She’s more than substantial in my growth, yet treats me like a baby.
Words can’t explain the pains she took for my gain
A grown strong man would cringe, flinch from just peeking at ’em from a pane
She’s scarred to the bones and heart for my sake
She’s sacred, a love relic, to be forever cherished, worth more than rubies.
(ii) Sacrifice
Who sat and watched my infant head
As I stole her sleep for nights unend
Made sacrifices that seemed suicidal
Making a living, making a home, the domestics alone were more like going homicidal.
(iii) Confession
Mama, if you were six words, I mean no blaspheme to God, for HE’s your strength, they’ll be;
You are the reason I live.
-Cirphrank.
More to be said, but I will leave that to when my akara turn meatballs.
